This tour combines history, spectacular nature and great cava, all in short proximity to Barcelona.

We start our day with a tour to Montserrat, to visit the beautiful monastery dating back all the way to the 11th century. The location of this place can easily take your breath away! The rock formations around the monastery are really amazing. I will show you around, and tell you all about the history of this place, and of course the story about the “Black Virgin”. The statue that so many pilgrims come every year to touch.

If you feel like, there will also be time to take the cable car to the very top and either just enjoy the beautiful views, or go for a nice walk down to the monastery again.

Only a short drive from the monastery, we will visit one of my favorite family-run wineries that specializes in organic cava.

This is a small and very charming winery located in the heart of Penedes.

​

When we arrive at this winery, the owner will meet us, and show us this old charming winery-house that has been in the family for generations.

Here you will get to know how cava is produced, which is quite different from wine. Any idea how they get that big cava cork into the bottle? Here the owner will show you!

After walking down into their wine cellar and smelled all those great aromas, it's time for some tasting.

You will be able to try 3 different cavas.
