My name is Helene, and I have worked as a guide for more than 27 years. My passion for wine and wine-making started about 25 years ago when I did my first wine tour to the Penedes region. I was fascinated about the wine process, the different grapes and how small changes in climate for example can have a big impact on the final product. There are so many factors which we often forget when drinking wine..!
Over the years I was intrigued by wine-making and so I took different courses, and joined wine-tasting clubs to expand my knowledge. I have dedicated my time and graduated from several important wine courses among them WSET Award in Wine & Spirit, level 1, 2 and 3.
Diploma in Spanish red wines, Spanish white wines, Spanish Rose wines and Spanish Cava.
The last 9 years I have been a manager for Barcelona Day Tours, and I have lead hundreds of guests on many wine tours all over Spain.
